Ask the Stylist: Christmas Party Outfit

Q: What should I wear to a work Christmas party that is a black-tie event? I want it to look classy, as it is a work party; however, would like to still have that "wow" factor.

A: Work Christmas parties are a very important event to distinguish yourself both professionally and personally. It is very important for you to choose the appropriate outfit for the occasion and environment. You will want your outfit to give a good account of yourself and to look well-put together, all while looking phenomenal. For this event, when putting an outfit together you will want to exude a sense of confidence in a look that is both bold and classy. To achieve that "wow factor" you will want to flaunt your best assets without revealing too much. In order to achieve this look try a classic black dress that is form-fitting, yet does not reveal too much, such as a peplum-styled dress. To add a little bit of festive flare wear a pair of red hot heels with a matching bag. Also, remember to accessorize your look with a mix of eye-catching and delicate jewellery- you do now want to look too overdone. With this festive-fabulous outfit, you will easily be getting a promotion the next day.

Ask the Stylist- Blind Date Dilemma

Dear Red: What should I wear to a blind date?

The idea of a blind date is both exciting and intimidating.  So you found a match online or connected through a friend, and tonight is the night you are meeting him for the very first time. Blind dates can be awkward and figuring out what to wear for that initial first encounter can be very stressful. Most importantly, when putting an outfit together for a blind date you will want to exude a sense of confidence in a look that is both sexy and classy. You will want to flaunt your best assets without revealing too much. In order to achieve this look try a classic black dress that is form-fitting, yet does not reveal too much. Put your best foot forward with a pair of fabulous heels. Also, remember to accessorize your classy look with a colour-clash, vibrant clutch, a statement ring, and a beautiful  necklace to draw attention to your neck and face. To add a punch of sexy to your outfit paint your nails with a racy red nail polish. As for the  finishing touch use a cool, lengthening mascara that draws attention to your eyes. With this knock-out fabulous outfit, you will undoubtedly be hearing back from him the next day.
