Style Tip: Team up a classic slitted pencil skirt with a feminine silk top and pin-thin heels for a sexy and classy day to night look, or opt for a bold bright maxi skirt with slits paired with a crop top and platform sandals for an updated boho street look.

Trends- The Return of the Choker

The return of the 90s crop tops, palazzo pants, maxi skirts and dresses has been seen everywhere so it would only make sense that the statement necklace, the choker, would be making a comeback in the fashion scene. Chokers are going to be the necklace of choice for next year. Celebrities and trendsetters have already been seem spotted in super cool chokers around the globe.

The choker may sometimes look harsh and overdone, but if you mix a choker with the right kind of outfit, it will look stunning. For example, a subtle diamond choker will look like perfection with a delicate cocktail dress. There are a couple of guidelines to consider when wearing this statement necklace:

Firstly, keep it subtle. A choker is already a strong statement piece so choosing the biggest one is not always ideal.  Secondly, wearing a strapless top or dress will give the choker all the room and attention it seeks. Do not over accessorize. Finally, you will want to stay away from patterned clothing . Keep the attire simple-don't overshadow the necklace with an over the edge outfit.

Check out our fabulous assortment of delicious chokers!

Blooming Fall Florals

Versace for H&M Fall 2011

Style pollination is upon us this fall/winter. FLORALS  are normally thought to be a spring trend, but are now completely renewed to bloom all year long. Rethink florals in your wardrobe this season. The trend is more daytime appropriate-incorporating it in blouses and vests; however, florals can be very chic in evening wear. The key is to make the floral print the focal point in an outfit. Pair it with neutrals and minimal accessories so the look looks light and not overdone.

Fall & Winter Trends 2011- Leather Skirts

Leather skirts have always been a wardrobe must-have in the fall/winter season. This season were seeing the classic straight version, as well as the full-skirted, feminine one. Whether its softly pleated or hyper flared this silhouette is crisp and contemporary.

Leather Skirts on the Runway

Stars and fashion icons are adding edge to their after- hour looks with leather skirts. The look is meant to be sexy and classy because the last thing you want is to achieve biker chick look-not chic.Try pairing your leather skins with items that are seasonal trends. By pairing the leather with fabric-contrast items such as flowy blouses, silks or camisoles you will make the look more up-to-date. For a daytime look, pair your leather with neutral colours of the season, wool sweaters, or a chic blazer. Brown, beige and gold leather skins appear more daytime and casual-pair them with a pair of flat riding boots and a baggy wool sweater for the street-chic look.
